Andurili or Kuval

Peel the mangoes and boil with one cup water. When it is cooked, add jaggery and a pinch of salt.


1   INGREDIENTS
  • Ripe mangoes 6
  • Jaggery 1/2 cup
  • Peppercorns 4
  • Fried red chillies 4
  • Dry ginger 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed
2   COOKING DIRECTIONS
  1. Peel the mangoes and boil with one cup water.
  2. When it is cooked, add jaggery and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cook till it lets out a nice flavor.
  4. Fry the mustard seeds and add to the kuval.
  5. Add the crushed peppercorns, powdered ginger and fried broken red chillies.
