Katlama is a typical traditional Lahori snack usually avaiable in festival season. Any where u go and u definately find about 2 feet diameter fried a big chappati with strange coating onn it and it is one of the delicious snacks of Lahori halwai.

1 INGREDIENTS
- DOUGH:
- Flour 2cups
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
- Yougurt 2 Tbsp
- COATING:
- red chillie powder to taste
- red food color 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- chilkoon wali maash ki dal 1 cup soaked and boiled
- whole corriander seeds 1/2 cup
- garam flour (besan)1 cup
- Oil for deep frying
2 COOKING DIRECTIONS
- Dough: take a bowl add flour, oil, yogurt, very little salt and add water slowly to knead and leave for 5 min
- COATING: take a bowl add besan, red color, red chili powder again very little amount of salt and add water to make a semi thick paste. ASSEMBLING: make a ball from dough and roll it just like a chappati now make marks with the help of fork or knife so that oil can pass through from it
- Now coat it with the besan paste now sprinkle whole coriander seeds and than sprinkle chilkoon wali mash ki daal boiled
- With very care put the non coated side in the medium heated oil wait for 3-4 minutes till one side is cooked than turn the other side down and let it cook for more 5-7 min
- Ready to serve
