These Afghani kebabs include basic ingredients yet are very different, the mince meat is cooked twice making it an interesting dish to place on your dinner table. Serve alongside afghani rice or with afghani bread.
1 INGREDIENTS
- Minced beef 1 kg
- Green chilies (cut very fine) 10
- Onions medium, chop as for omelette 2
- Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
- Black pepper grind coarsely 1/2 tsp
- Tomatoes 1 kg
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 cup
2 COOKING DIRECTIONS
- In a bowl combine mince meat, green chilies, black pepper, onions and knead them, separate into four portions.
- Brush each portion with a little oil.
- In a flat frying pan flatten and place one portion and cook for 4 minutes.
- Repeat with the other portions then cut each into strips.
- In a wok (karhai) fry the pieces slightly, add tomatoes, salt and a few green chilies and black pepper.
- Cook till oil separates, garnish with coriander leaves, serve hot.
